Since Peachpie is now a member project of the .NET Foundation, it makes sense that we would participate in the .NET Summer Hackfest. As part of this great initiative, we will be holding a live event together with the guys from DotVVM at the Microsoft office in Prague.
.NET Summer Hackfest
.NET Summer Hackfest is a .NET Foundation sponsored, community run open source hacking party. Several projects are taking part in a virtual setting, but we have a special event planned together with Tomas Herceg, Microsoft Regional Director and dev lead of DotVVM.
All-day Event in Prague
If you are in or around Prague and would like to hear more about the open source ecosystem, how it works and what benefits can be derived from it, this is a fantastic event to hear from two of the main Czech open source projects. You can of course also give it a try yourself and submit a pull request to Peachpie or DotVVM right then and there!
The event will take place at the Microsoft office in Prague on Friday, August 11th and will last from 9:30am to 5pm.
We’d like to invite you to come say hi to our developers, contribute to Peachpie or simply mingle with like-minded people. We will be very happy to answer your questions and show you how Peachpie works.
9:30 – Introduction
9:45 – How to use GitHub, work with issues and submit pull requests
10:15 – Showcase of open source projects involved in .NET Summer Hackfest
10:30 – The Hackfest – lots of coding
16:30 – Showcase of your contributions
The event is hosted at the Microsoft office in Prague (Vyskočilova 1561/4a, 140 00 Praha 4) in the “Morava” room on the ground floor.
We are all looking forward to see you there!
